Originally from Buffalo, Josh Carson is a Naples-based painter working primarily with acrylics and oil stick to create energetic, abstract work. His paintings have been influenced by experiences of travelling across Europe and Central America, time spent living in England, and a love of abstract expressionist work.

Newly located to the Finger Lakes region, he is exploring how this setting—the seasonal changes in light and landscape and the calmness of nature—impacts his work His intension is to capture the sensory experience of being in this wonderful environment.

Works are both larger-scale canvases and smaller prints.
