My start as a freelance commercial illustrator transitioned to mural artist. For decades, I created intricate hand-painted murals throughout the Finger Lakes Region.
I am semi-retired now from mural work and am currently employed as an advertising director. In my home art studio, I create realistic still lifes in oil. Though my canvases are smaller than the walls and ceilings that display murals, my signature of a high level of detail remains.
I am drawn to paint the intricate details of rust, old metal, vintage typography, weathered wood, and reflections on glass. I attempt to evoke nostalgia through a collective human pictorial experience. Growing up in a generation that bridges old-fashioned and modern technology, I'm attracted to objects like typewriters, cameras, books, and antiquated tools that represent both timelessness and obsolescence.
