Blue Heron Glassworks

Ben Bennett learned glass blowing while living at the Rochester Folk Art Guild, a crafts community located in Middlesex, NY. He helped start the glass program there in 1971.

18 years later in 1989, he set up his studio, Blue Heron Glassworks.

In 1999, he began to specialize in the production of Christmas ornaments, adapting 14th century Venetian glass blowing techniques to modern equipment and materials.  He also makes specialorder corporate gifts and home decorating items.

Ben lives in Middlesex, not too far from Naples, NY. His work has been shown nationally, and is in many private collections.
